Ucf Volleyballs Undefeated Streak Ended By No 21 Fsu

UCF Volleyball's Undefeated Season Stumbles Against No. 21 Florida State

Streak Snapped at 18, Seminoles Sweep Knights 3-0

UCF volleyball's dream of an undefeated season came to an end Tuesday night as the Knights fell in straight sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) to No. 21 Florida State. The loss snapped UCF's 18-match winning streak and dropped the Knights to 18-1 on the season.

The Seminoles (17-3) held UCF to a .163 hitting percentage while recording 11 blocks. The Knights were led by McKenna Melville, who had 13 kills, but no other UCF player reached double figures in kills.

UCF's undefeated streak was the second-longest in program history and the longest since the 2003 season. The Knights had not lost a match since Aug. 27 and had won their last seven matches in straight sets.

Florida State is now 10-1 all-time against UCF, and the Seminoles have won the last five meetings between the two schools.

The Knights will look to rebound from the loss when they host Tulsa on Friday night at The Venue at UCF.
