Colombia crushes Argentina 5-0 in Copa América
Colombia delivered a stunning performance, thrashing Argentina 5-0 in the semi-finals of the Copa América.
Colombia took control of the match from the start, dominating possession and creating several chances. They opened the scoring in the 7th minute when Duván Zapata headed in a cross from Juan Cuadrado.
Colombia continued to press, and in the 22nd minute, they doubled their lead through Luis Muriel. Muriel received a pass from Zapata and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.
Colombia put the game to bed in the second half.
In the 51st minute, Miguel Borja made it 3-0 with a header from a corner. Just three minutes later, Cuadrado added a fourth with a stunning free-kick.
Argentina were unable to respond, and in the 73rd minute, Rafael Santos Borré completed the rout with a clinical finish. The victory sends Colombia into the final of the Copa América, where they will face either Brazil or Peru.
