Atalanta BC extended their winning run at the Gewiss Stadium on Monday night, defeating Udinese 2-0 in a Serie A clash. The victory moves Atalanta up to fourth place in the table, while Udinese remain in 15th.
Atalanta dominated the match from the start, with Duvan Zapata hitting the crossbar in the opening minutes. Robin Gosens eventually broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, heading home from a corner.
Udinese had a chance to equalize in the second half, but Stefano Okaka's penalty was saved by Pierluigi Gollini. Atalanta sealed the victory in the 83rd minute, with Luis Muriel scoring a stunning goal from outside the box.
The victory was Atalanta's fourth in a row in all competitions, and they will be looking to continue their good form when they host Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.
Udinese, meanwhile, have now lost three of their last four matches, and they will be looking to bounce back when they host Crotone on Saturday.
